Virginia Off-Road Series Race #15
2014 Six Hour's O' Shiner's Revenge will be a bunch of the same great trails, and a few new twists to make it fun and interesting. We are utilizing 85% of the old route with a few new sections to make the route even better.
Course Details:
7.5 mile race course with lots of tight, twisty singletrack, some nice navigable rock gardens, a creek crossing, a flyover, and a couple small mountains to get the heart pumping going up and down. All in all it is a great race course, and perfect location in the heat of summer to get out and get your race on!!!
The race will have two neutral aid station for the racers stocked with light foods, nutrition, and fluids.
The trails sits at the base of the beautiful blue ridge mountains in Woolwine, Virginia. Within a few hours of every major city in the Virginia, and North Carolina, it is a perfect location to draw racers from all regions. I am confident that your experience will be most-memorable rain or shine!!!
The trail is marked in the first of August for pre-rides. Check the blog for a race map in weeks to come. During the race the trail is marked very well, you will have no issues in navigation during the event.
